About Us

Thryve Network in Nigeria is a mental health awareness organisation focused on educating the public about mental health issues, reducing stigma, and helping people understand and cope with psychological challenges. It was formerly known as Love and Life International and has become one of the more visible mental health advocacy groups in the country. The group tackles topics that many Nigerians traditionally avoid discussing, such as postpartum depression. Through community outreach programs, events, and public talks, Thryve works to inform people about the signs, effects, and support strategies related to mental illnesses. Oby Nnadi, the founding CEO and team lead, draws from her own lived experience with postpartum depression to champion the cause. Her personal journey fuels her passion for mental health education, and she regularly speaks at schools, churches, outreach events, and on media platforms to broaden awareness. She is known in some circles as the “Radio Doctor,” hosting segments where she talks about mental health topics and answers questions. She also publishes a quarterly digest on mental health to help Nigerians access reliable information and self-help resources.
